    Melica Rose Cotton/Linen Double Gauze

    A soft double gauze in grassy green and pink.

    Double gauze consists of two layers of fine open woven cotton/linen blend. They are attached together with tiny stab stitches at regular intervals, usually every centimetre, in a grid pattern.

    Due to the open weave nature of this cloth it may be susceptible to irregularities in the weave, these are not classes as flaws.

    Melica Rose would make a great shirts and dresses.

    The base cloth is a delightful and versatile cotton and linen blend. The mix of fibres creates an opaque fabric with great texture and a soft handle. Light enough for warm weather garments and layering over the colder months.

    Soft and smoky blue. A lightweight, soft and bouncy linen with a gauzy texture. This delicate linen is semi-sheer so you will need to line it or double up the cloth. We recommend unbleached washed muslin as a lining.

    Judy Green 185 European Laundered Linen

    European laundered linen, tumbled at the mill for softness. Emerald green.

    The 185 dressweight linen is our go to linen for all dress making and is what we use for many of our samples. It is a great match for all of our patterns, dresses, tops and loose fitting trousers.

    This linen also works well for lighter curtains for a casual less refined look.

    Produced in small batches in Eastern Europe where there is a strong heritage of spinning and weaving linen fabric.

Our gorgeous sewing patterns have low and zero waste options to help save fabric, money and the planet. You can trust they’re good because I personally sew using the same patterns and fabrics that I sell here in-store.
