Lapis Plain Indian Cotton
$29.00A really unusual south Indian cotton with a soft and silky handle, similar to a sateen. A beautiful rich peacock blue colour.
This cloth would make beautiful skirts, dresses, tops and shirts. It would also be suitable for lightweight curtains.
Note the colour of this fabric is slightly darker and richer than depicted in the images – email shop@joans.co.nz to request a free sample if you wish to check the tone before buying.

Oxblood Organic Cotton Dry Oilskin
$75.00Best quality dry oilskin made in the UK.
A rich aubergine. The finish is drier and crisper than our other oilskins with a matte appearance. Unlike normal oilskin there would be no oil transfer, so you don’t need to line your garment or bag.
This type of oilskin is water resistant, so this means that the water doesn’t completely run off it, but it won’t come through to the other side either.
All our oilskins are sent folded unless otherwise requested.
Sewing tips: We recommend sewing with a denim needle and 100% polyester/sew all thread.
