Nordic Green 8oz Organic Sanded Twill

    $49.00

    Deep forest green.

This organic cotton has a fine twill with a soft sanded finish on one side. It would be ideal for trousers, dungarees and dresses that require some structure ie not a gathered waist, as well as lighter weight jackets and bag linings. It has a utility look and feel to it.

Please note that this is a new quality from a different mill, so if you’ve received a sample or purchased previously it will be slightly different – softer, with more pile.

    The Paynter

    $26.00$41.50

*Please note the Paper version of the pattern is on pre-order, with the patterns expected to arrive late September*

Paynter Jacket Co. make limited edition jackets four times a year that are made to order, so there’s no waste from over production. Their jackets are classic pieces that will stand the test of time and get better with age. The Field Jacket is Paynter’s first make-your-own jacket pattern in collaboration with Merchant & Mills.

All paper patterns will include two woven labels, one is to be positioned inside the jacket near the hip and the other is a smaller label for the back neck. The larger label has been designed by @hello.ludio. Lucie’s design features the sun and the moon to represent time and getting lost in the practice of making. These labels are only available in the paper pattern, not PDF, and won’t be sold elsewhere.

Need sewing help? We have made a You Tube video that takes you through the two trickier steps of the Paynter pattern, the placket and the hip pockets. You can view that video here.

    Rust Dry Oilskin

    $65.00

Best quality dry oilskin made in the UK.

A rust orange shade. The finish is drier and crisper than our other oilskins with a matte appearance. Unlike normal oilskin there would be no oil transfer, so you don’t need to line your garment or bag.

This type of oilskin is water resistant, so this means that the water doesn’t completely run off it, but it won’t come through to the other side either.

All our oilskins are sent folded unless otherwise requested.

Sewing tips: We recommend sewing with a denim needle and 100% polyester/sew all thread.
