    European laundered linen, tumbled at the mill for softness. A deep burnt sienna shade.

    The cloth is a light/medium weight linen that works with so many of our patterns. It sews up gathered dresses, skirts, shirts and loose fitting trousers beautifully. 

    Produced in small batches in Eastern Europe where there is a strong heritage of spinning and weaving linen fabric.

    Milk 185 European Laundered Linen

    European laundered linen, tumbled at the mill for softness. Off white, more warm than Virgin white.

    The 185 dressweight linen is our go to linen for all dress making and is what we use for many of our samples. It is a great match for all of our patterns, dresses, tops and loose fitting trousers.

    This linen also works well for lighter curtains for a casual less refined look. Carolyn wears the Etta dress in Milk 185.

    A delicate block print with a pale grey background and green and blue flowers. Sanganer block prints are known for their intricate design and colouring.

    Dimpsey is suitable for tops, and dresses and skirts with fullness. We would make an Etta dress or a Florence Top. You could also use this block print for home projects like small curtains or scatter cushions.

    Traditional hand block and dye techniques are used to make this wonderful rural cloth. Indian cloths are sometimes susceptible to irregularities in the weave, this is all part of their charm and are not classed as flaws.
