Joa is a simple, lined wrap top with ties at the side. Choose to make it quilted or not. Joa looks great in denim, layered cotton jacquard or quilted cottons. Wear on its own or layer it up in the colder months as a gilet. This pattern includes instructions for quilting your own fabric or you can use one of our pre-quilted Indian Cottons or layered cotton jacquards. It’s a quick and satisfying make and a simple introduction to quilting for beginners.

Recommended fabric
For prequilted fabric: quilted cotton jacquard and quilted cotton.
For creating your own quilted fabric: lightweight linen & cotton, cotton blends, lightweight denims up to 5oz. We recommend using 100% cotton wadding for this make which is widely available at quilting shops and suppliers.⁠
For non quilted fabric: midweight cottons and denim.
