Pleat is a high-waisted children's pant inspired by traditional Thai fisherman's trousers. A front pleat acts as a gusset for generous movement, while the straight, slightly cropped leg, optional front pocket and side-seam-free construction keep the pattern simple and practical.

Light to Medium weight fabric (120 to 180 g/m²) ranging from cotton poplin, linen, ramie or hemp, batik, light denim. Avoid very fluid fabrics such as tencel and rayon.
